European meeting/anniversary !!!
switzerland has a meeting coming up, but not such a big one... it's a one day meeting on september 7th (check the thread 'swiss probe drivers' in the lounge for more infos... it's german there, but if there are any questions i'd be glad to answer).
i guess that most of the swiss probes are coming from the french speaking part of switzerland... so they don't have to drive that far.

By the way, Yann, are you sure, PROBEdrivers from CZ will appear at your meeting? So I'm wondering why they won't come to Greiz this year, because the distance is not that high.
By the way again, it is really too short, if people from all these countries you mentioned are able to meet only several hours... I deem that's not enough time to share knowledge, experience and have lots of fun, indeed. I think you should think about the duration twice. But for all, it is a great thing you're doing there. But unfortunalty a little bit too short and so too expensive for many of us.

Salut Yann!
First of all, i have to agree with the given opinions about your meeting. I was quite interessted too, but now that I know that it'll be only for some hours or at least one day, all my interrests have gone with the wind.
I don't kow why other Country want to join you, but I can't believe that it's only a German thing to say no. I guess most of the Guys you're expecting too see, won't come either. The Difference is, that we say it in advance.
Actually I think that you could also win German fans for the meeting, by giving the possibility (and the sense!) to stay for at least 2 days. Although, i hope you'll have a real great event!
Merci pour t'attention.
René

First, thanks for all your feedbacks ! Sure they help us to build a better meeting !
Coming back on french attendance in Greiz & other foreign national meetings, I posted your invitation (thanks a lot again for that) on our forum but people already planned their holidays a long time ago. (Un)fortunately, France is the most visited country in the world and we really have to anticipate our holidays to have a chance to get booking on destinations where we tend to go (typically peolpe use to plan their prefered locations 1 year before, sometimes a little bit less, but sometimes more ...). Therefore I got feedback that there will be only little chance for them to attend ... this year. I'm really sorry about this fact but I prefer to be honest with you than to promise something that wouldn't come.
I really understand your concerns (distance, other national meets ...), that's why I have asked our club to extend the meeting to the entire saturday + sunday.
So we are now working on it but we want to be sure what to prepare depending on how many people plan to come/stay. As you indicated, saying it in advance is a good process. Some foreign drivers already mentioned they will stay the entire week-end. What about you ? Will it change your mind and are you ready to come in such a case ?
Concerning attendance, please have a look at the other european forums (from Spain to Russia ...) to see that I'm not posting any wrong info about british and czech comings. In addition, here's the link to our forum where some started to register : french forum - meet section
Moreover, you may be interested to know that some british drivers will attend this "european meeting" while there's a planned meet in N-W UK during same date ...
I'm not forcing anyone to come. It is just an information that you could attend a great event.
Thanks again for your feedbacks and please give us some others
We hope to see you soon

Well,
I would like to remind you kindly that the European/Anniversary meet will stand in one week and an half (13+14/09) in north of France.
Drivers from France, Belgium, Nederlands, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic and UK have already confirmed their coming to celebrate the Probe (2nd version) 10th anniversary. So next time is ... in 10 years
And here are the latest news/details : http://perso.wanadoo.fr/olivier.p24/meeting-dates.htm
So, here's the planed schedule :
- meeting will start at 11:00 am on saturday the 13th at the beach, then some drinks and lunch in a pizzeria which belongs to a member of the french Probe club.
- in the afternoon people may stand talking/sunbathing at the beach and/or have planed landyatching, speed-sail and jetski activities.
- diner in Berck, then Casino (free entrance) and nightclub
- on sunday we will visit a wine producer (not really grape wine as it stands in north of the country, but currant wine), then, depending on the attendance/departure times, taking part in a tuning show, having fun in an amusement park or enjoying landscapes while driving around
I hope this schedule may motivate you to share the fun with people sharing the same Probe passion
It's not too late to register but please do it as soon as possible so we can manage things for you (activities, hotel, camping ...)

Sorry not having replied before but I was very busy in Den Haag last week... meeting some Probe friends there.
Sure Greiz is one of the biggest, but there's also an european one beginning of June in France with Probe owners driving from F, NL, B, UK, SW, CZ, D who have already confirmed they will come in principle (maybe Sweden too...).
Please refer to my post ("2004 french AGM") in this english section.
Is there a possibility you meet us just some km in the south at the same time ?Phreeze hat geschrieben: there will be a moderate meeting in LUXEMBOURG too, in June 2004
