Translation needed

As mein deutsch is not as goog as your english, could you please explain me what is the purpose of this modification :

Hi Yann.
I'll give my very best to translate that modifiaction into English.
Well, if you remove the additional lamps in the front bumper, you are not longer able to give a flash signal to others. So you can do this mod to enable the headlights for a flash signal. If this is done, even if you use your common way to show others a flash signal, the headlights will open as long as you do it and after you released the lever the lamps will close. As long as you hold the lever, the light is active.

Hope, now you know the meaning of this modification.

But why would you want to remove these additional lamps ? I saw a lot of people upgrading them to other ones, but removing ...

Well, I removed them to free space for silver racing - lattice.

By the way, the addtitional lamps do not have much effect to see more at night. They only light the streets two meters ahead...

Yes, I think so, too. But we first did this modification after removing the additional lamps...

I know, I know, there's no interest doing this with un-removed lamps ... but I'm sure someone will test it !
