3D Ford Probe keychain
3D Ford Probe keychain
Dear Probers,
I'm now clearly engaged in a process to make this kind of thing being produced :
This item currently exists for several cars, but not the Probe. It is based on a 1/87 Busch model such as displayed on a pic posted some hours ago ("Probe Model" thread).
As you can see, it's quite a beautiful & shiny item, with some operations being done by hand. It can be delivered in silver or golden finish (colour speaking, not true silver/gold metal).
I've got a contact with the manufacturer who propose me to get them for 15 to 20 euros (depending on the quantity being ordered).
As this item doesn't exist now, it will require around 3 months to be produced. It will not be available for Xmas this year, but it should be Ok during spring.
Here's my problem : some of us (french Probe club) expressed their interest in the minutes following the time I posted the info on our forum ... but I'm quite sure that this will not give a sufficient number if we are alone.
Are you interested in such an item ?

I was thinking about the 2nd gen as we will need to get sufficient orders for one model ... and as I've got one ...
But, if a 1/87 model exists for a 1st gen Probe (does it ?), it will be possible to get the same thing for it ... in case of sufficient orders ...
I've already contacted the Probe fellows I know around Europe to get it sorted out ... The more people express their interest in it, the more chance we will get it !

My dad once had one of his old 3er BMW, made by a Dentist from pure Silver, but with windows and the original model Wheels.
It looked great, but the problem would be, that you have to have one Model for each Item you make.
And it was a Herpa or Wicking, I think, which are much more detailed than the Busch Cars.
But I would take one as well!
But I think a finished Prototype would be usefull to see the final Quality

Some good news !
I'm not sure if it will be based on Busch, Herpa or Wicking ... As it seems to be an issue shared by some people across the various Probe forums, I'll ask the manufacturer about it and post the answer as soon as possible.
The good news is that I've now a sufficient number of pre-orders to start the production. Items will be available in February ... as the first ones ever produced ... a kind of pre-series collector !!!

Re: Some good news !
No, it's not too late at all ... I was just looking to get feedback before to launch the production. Clearly, there's a market for it ... but first items will not be delivered before february.Yvonne hat geschrieben:if it´s not too late yet...
So please be a little bit patient, but continue to pre-order to be sure to get one !
